Westport Marina Walking Tours: Charting a new course

After five successful years, the Port of Grays Harbor has announced an all-new, freshly revised Walking Tours for the 2026 season.

The Westport Marina is a hub of activity for Grays Harbor. Supporting a diverse and multifaceted working waterfront, Westport is currently ranked as the number 10 seafood landing port in the nation, and the biggest, most productive in Washington state. Westport is thriving with commercial, charter, and recreational fishing activities. Beyond fishing, the community is a hot spot for ocean recreation, tourism, industry, and more.

The revised tour will feature a Marina overview, followed by visits with U.S. Coast Guard Station Grays Harbor, Grays Harbor Bar Pilots, Westport Shipyard, commercial fishermen, shellfish growers. seafood processors, and a look at Phase I of the Westport Marina Modernization Project.

With exciting plans for modernization underway, it’s the perfect time to explore, learn, and connect with the heart of Westport.”

Walking tours of the Westport Marina will be offered:

Wednesday, Sept. 23 and 24 starting at 3:30 p.m.

Reservations are required, and participants should expect to walk approximately one-half mile during the tour. This tour includes prolonged walking over varying terrain and may not be appropriate for individuals with limited mobility.

Founded in 1911, the Port of Grays Harbor is one of Washington State’s oldest port districts and Washington’s only deep-water port located directly on the Pacific Ocean. The Port of Grays Harbor operates 4 deep-water marine terminals, the Westport Marina, Bowerman Airport, Grays Harbor ship assist services, numerous public waterfront access facilities, in addition to industrial and business parks throughout the county.

The addition of Satsop Business Park increased the Port’s properties to more than 1,000 acres of industrial properties and an additional 1,200 acres of sustainably managed forestland.
