PAWS of Grays Harbor looking for new home

PAWS of Grays Harbor, established as a non-profit organization in Aberdeen in June of 1973, is searching for land to build a new animal shelter so the no-kill animal shelter can continue and expand its work. The current facility is located at 800 W 1st St in Aberdeen.

The organization’s website states: “This organization serves our community through the education of pet owners; providing a safe shelter for lost, abused and unwanted pets; and through pet adoptions to suitable homes. … More than 500 animals find new homes and loving families through our organization every year.”

According to a Facebook post, the ideal property is:

• Minimum 0.5 acres (1+ acre preferred)

• Located away from highways, train tracks, and loud noise

• Outside of flood zones

• Preferably in the Aberdeen area

• Must be zoned for animal kennels (or able to be rezoned)

PAWS of Grays Harbor is asking anyone who has property to donate, sell, or lease, or has leads on such a property, to contact them at pawsdirector@pawsgh.org.
