Upon arrival to Stevens Elementary School last Wednesday, students were greeted by a raucous group of cheerleaders and football players from Aberdeen High School, who cheered as each student entered the building. Some of the more shy students avoided the cheering pathway, while others enjoyed walking through it. Stevens was participating in the nationwide program Start With Hello Week, which encourages social inclusion in schools, and is organized by the national non-profit group Sandy Hook Promise.
