About 700 customers were affected by the outage caused by a power line being struck by tree

Power outage affects 700 PUD customers in West Aberdeen on Friday

The Grays Harbor PUD reported an electrical utility outage in parts of West Aberdeen just before 8:40 a.m. Friday that affected about 700 customers.

The outage was caused by a tree falling on a transmission line on Sixth Street and left people from the PUD east to Bel Aire, Hospital Hill, Basich Boulevard and Scammel Hill without service.

Power was restored to all of the locations by 9:30 a.m.
