Fourth positive COVID-19 test reported in Pacific County

Pacific County Public Health has reported a fourth positive COVID-19 case in the county.

The positive result came in Wednesday.

“The individual is isolated in a medical facility and close contacts of the individual are currently being contacted by our public health nurses with instructions to quarantine per (Department of Health) guidelines,” read a statement from Public Health.

If the case investigation reveals exposure(s) to the general public, that information will be made public, according to the statement.

This case is in addition to the out-of-state case reported April 10 that continues to receive medical treatment out of state, and the second and third cases, reported April 18 and 19, that are isolating at home.

Expanded drive through testing in Pacific County continues and is available to anyone over the age of 18 with one or more of the following symptoms: a fever of more than 100.4, dry cough, fatigue, shortness of breath or loss of appetite. To schedule an appointment contact the county emergency operations center at 360-875-9407 or 360-642-9407.
