A fatal accident late Sunday evening involving two vehicles claimed the life of 18-year-old Jennyfer Hernandez-Sarich of Raymond.
The Washington State Patrol reported that at about 8:42 p.m., a 1996 Nissan pick-up driven by 32-year-old Jose Arteaga Morales was traveling northbound on US Highway 101 when it crossed the centerline 1 mile north of the Grays Harbor/Pacific County Line and struck Hernandez-Sarich’s 1992 Toyota Tercel head-on.
Arteaga Morlaes and 26-year-old passenger Manuel Morales Bucio were injured in the collision and transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for treatment. Both were wearing seatbelts. Hernandez-Sarich was not. Next of kin has been notified.
According to the report, drugs and or alcohol were not a factor in the accident, which is still under investigation.
