Egg hunt under the rainbow

Photos from Olympic Stadium event

Hundreds of children and their parents gathered at Hoquiam’s Olympic Stadium on Thursday evening for the annual Easter egg hunt. While there were some light showers prior to the event, the skies cleared and a rainbow framed the free-for-all festivities.

If you missed out on this egg hunt, there are two more this weekend. At noon today, the Elma VFW Auxiliary’s 19th annual Easter egg hunt starts at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds. It includes five age groups, up to age 10. Prize giveaways will include bicycles, baskets and more. Line-up begins at 11:30 a.m.

Two events are being held on Easter Sunday.

Seabrook will split its hunt into two groups. Little ones 4 and under will begin their search at 9:30 a.m. in front of town hall, while children 5 and older may start collecting at 10 at Crescent Park. Bring your cameras for photo opps with the Easter Bunny and a mermaid princess.

Later in the day, Central Park Lions’ Easter egg hunt for toddlers through 8-year-olds will start at 1 p.m. at Lions Club Park in Central Park. The Easter Bunny will be there, too.
