No injuries in car vs Hoquiam school bus collision Tuesday morning

The second accident involving a Hoquiam School District bus in less than three weeks occurred at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 24th Street Tuesday morning.

The initial report of the accident at 8 a.m. said there were injuries, but the Hoquiam Police Department described it as a low speed collision between the bus and a passenger car with no injuries.

A previous car vs. Hoquiam school bus accident occurred the afternoon of Nov. 21 near Emerson Elementary School. According to the school district, the driver or the car was attempting to pass the bus while the bus was making a left turn. There were no injuries in this incident either, and the driver of the passenger car was ticketed by the Washington State Patrol, according to the school district.
