Seventeen people graduated June 23 from basic Master Gardener training and became interns with WSU Extension Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.

Over the next year, these interns will be completing a 60 volunteer-hour requirement on the path to become certified WSU Extension Master Gardeners who can work independently as they provide research-based education to the public.

Fifteen of these interns live in Grays Harbor County, and two in Pacific County.

Master Gardener training classes for Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties are held during even-numbered years. The next class will start early in 2020.
