Holly, a member of Grays Harbor Search and Rescue, was introducing rescue Zoekur to the attendees at the Emergency Preparedness Expo Saturday in Aberdeen. Zoekur is a well-trained and very friendly Dutch Shepard.

Despite the drizzly weather Saturday the Emergency Preparedness Expo drew a good size crowd of visitors. The parking lot along W. Wishkah next to Tractor Supply in Aberdeen was full of first responders from all over Grays Harbor and their vehicles — police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and boats — and lots of information booths handing out brochures and giveaways like pencils, chip bag clips, and wrist bands.
