Robert “Bob” Laurence Anderson, 92, passed away Feb. 7, 2026, at his home in Ocean Shores, surrounded by family.

Born in Aberdeen and raised in Hoquiam, Bob was an All-State football guard, basketball forward, and pole-vaulter at Hoquiam High School. He earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Washington and co-founded the Roberts and Anderson Law Firm in Renton, practicing with integrity for decades.

Bob married his beloved wife, Luanne Ruth Shaw, in France in 1957, sharing nearly 69 years together. A lifelong Seahawks fan, he passed away just one day before their Super Bowl victory — but he was certainly a loudly cheering from above 12th man.

He served as a Lieutenant in Army ROTC, was elected to the Renton School Board, and served on the board of First Federal Savings and Loan. He was a member of Renton Kiwanis, Phi Kappa Sigma, and Phi Delta Phi. Bob enjoyed fishing, clamming, skiing, tennis — and never met a cookie he didn’t like.

He is survived by his wife, Luanne; his children Greg (Felicia), John (Monica), and Kari (Skeet); six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held March 7, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Galilean Lutheran Church, Ocean Shores. Donations may be made to the Ocean Shores Food Bank, the Hoquiam Food Bank; Clothing Bank, or North Beach Medical Equipment.
