Linda Mae Lind, 77, lifetime Aberdeen resident and homemaker, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, in Centralia, Washington.
Linda was born on Oct. 9, 1948, in Aberdeen to Jordan F. and Ida Marie (Verville) Thompson. She graduated from Aberdeen’s Weatherwax High School in 1966 while working at the Central Park Drive-In Theater.
She worked for Bigelow Chevrolet in Aberdeen from 1967 until 1970. She later worked at Swanson’s Snack Bar, K-Mart Deli and at Gyros at South Shore Mall and McDonald’s in Aberdeen. She then worked for the Aberdeen School District as a Custodian from 1998 to 2000. She then worked as a Para-Educator for Aberdeen School District, 2002-2003.
Linda married Edward David Lind on March 1, 2000, at South Aberdeen Baptist Church. He resides at the family home.
She was a member of the South Aberdeen Baptist Church. She enjoyed ordering from magazines, visiting loved ones and her grandchildren, working in the yard and going to garage sales as well as cooking, baking and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed teaching and playing with kids as a paraeducator.
Linda is survived by her husband of 25 years, Edward Lind of Aberdeen; sons: Anthony Gerard Kovach, and his wife Kirsten of Aberdeen and Christopher Vance Kovach and his wife Jessica of Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service for Linda on Friday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. at Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen, Washington. A celebration of life will immediately follow at South Aberdeen Baptist Church.
