We thought it would be nice to revisit a scene from an earlier day. This is a one-room schoolhouse in Westport, 1886. According to John Shaw, Westport South Beach Historical Society executive director, the teacher was a Mr. Iams, and the school was located on Spokane Avenue. Shaw said the first Ocosta school building wasn’t in business until 1891.
