The Aberdeen Lions Club held their 79th annual Charter Party on June 10. Several new club members were inducted, and new officers were installed.

The 2019-20 officers are President Mike Barkstrom, First Vice President Andy Palmer, Second Vice President Bob Braden, Third Vice President Mike Welliver, Secretary Erv Granahan, Treasurer Fred Thurman, Tail Twister Mike O’Connor, Lion Tamers Jenee Bearden and Candy Palmer, Membership Chairman John Tieder, and Directors Nancy Bryson, Brian Peck, Price Chenault and Kellie Dawson. Past president is Aaron Gillies.

The Lions also honored Kellie Dawson as Rookie of the Year and Lori Berken as Lion of the Year. Fred Thurman received the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
