Young Street Bridge, one of Kurt Cobain’s hangouts when he was growing up in Aberdeen, could be replaced in the next few years, despite being a draw for local fans and tourists. The city of Aberdeen received more than $20 million from the state for the replacement of the 67-year-old bridge, which abuts the Kurt Cobain Memorial Park in north Aberdeen. Some fans in town are ardently defending its continued existence.
