The 40 et 8 building — 2313 Simpson Ave., in Aberdeen — is one of Aberdeen’s oldest clubs. It’s kitty-corner from Rick’s Simpson Avenue Saloon. American war veterans founded the 40 et 8 organization in 1920 upon returning home from France. Today, Aberdeen’s 40 et 8 welcomes social members. But, membership is still by invite only.
