Johnny “The Capo” Gargano, on the right, blasts a guitar solo — a unique touch — to Ben E. King’s classic song “Stand By Me,” at the Associated Arts Ocean Shores Arts & Crafts Festival this past weekend. Gargano, who’s played the guitar since he was 14, lived in Las Vegas for about 30 years where he met the likes of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and John Stamos. Gargano now lives in Ocean Shores with his wife Maureen. He’s busy as ever and he doesn’t plan to stop any time soon.

Jessica and Daniel Crocker, who also own Waugh’s Men’s and Women’s Apparel, are the new owners of the downtown Tinderbox Coffee Roasters — 113 E. Wishkah St., in Aberdeen. The Crockers, who officially took over on Friday, want to expand the menu and aim for more consistent days and hours of operation. As of now and for the foreseeable future, they’ll keep the cafe open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., every day.
