Three AHS Bobcats named to EvCo 2A all-league football

Six Aberdeen football players were chosen for the Evergreen 2A Conference All-League team earlier this week, with three of them landing on the first-team roster.

Junior running back Kylan Touch was named as a first-team running back, while senior Braden Castleberry-Taylor was picked as a first-team wide receiver and junior Skyler Murray was selected as a first-team defensive lineman.

Touch finished with 1,036 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns on 136 attempts, plus caught 18 passes for 334 yards, on offense and led the team with eight interceptions as a defensive back. Castleberry-Taylor added 787 yards on 61 receptions as well.

Also picked as honorable mentions were Bailey Delahanty, Michael Torres and Benton Butcher.

Tumwater’s Cade Otten was selected as the league MVP, with Tumwater’s Noah Andrews as the offensive MVP and Chehalis’ Tyler Pallas and Black Hills’ Austen Daisa sharing the defensive MVP honors. Tumwater was also named coaching staff of the year.
