Three baseball seniors named to All-Star Game

On Thursday, three Grays Harbor seniors will play in the 40th annual Senior All-Star Game at Wheeler Field in Centralia.

Aberdeen’s Josh Collett and Grant Larson and Montesano’s Sawyer Rhoden will play on the American team. Twenty-one high schools are represented in the game this year. Players from the games can be nominated to play in the All-State Series in Yakima on June 10-11.

There will be two eight-inning games, with the first game starting at 4 p.m.

Conservation meeting features halibut catching presentation

The Twin Harbors Coastal Conservation Association will hold its spring meeting on Tuesday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Montesano Timberland Library.

The main feature of the meeting will be a presenation on catching halibut by Leon Bialkowski.

The meeting will also feature food, prizes and information on current issues regarding fishing. Everyone who is interested in protecting resources for sports anglers is invited to attend.
