Father-daughter duo wins state golf title

Local golfer Arnel Blancas and his daughter, Hailey, shot a low-net score to claim the Washington State Golf Association’s Parent-Child Championship on July 20 at the Yakima Country Club.

Competing against a field of 45 parent-child teams from across the state, the Blancas combined for a net score of 57 (gross score of 75) to claim the net-score championship of the WSGA’s Chapman-formatted competition.
