Grays Harbor Country Club Spring Shamble results

The Grays Harbor Country Club held its 2019 Spring Shamble on Saturday, March 23.

The foursome of Carl Sperring, John Eilers, James Byrd and Travis Davis took first place with a score of 100.

Two groupings tied for second place. The foursome of Mike Sand, Paul Martin, Jim Bravos and Joe Fairchild tied with the team of Ron Russell, Bruce Beck, Dave Rathbun and Tandy Alexander with identical scores of 106.

Alexander won closest to pin cometitions on the hole No. 4 (19 feet, 2 inches) and No. 7 (11-05).

Beck took the closest to pin victory on the 16th hole (2-08).

Grays Harbor Umpire’s Association meeting Sunday

The Grays Harbor Baseball Umpire’s Association will be holding a general meeting at the Aberdeen Treatment Center cafeteria located at 114 N. Park Street.

All GHBUA members and anyone interested in umpiring high school and/or youth summer baseball should attend.

Grays Harbor College’s ‘Get Fit’ program to hold open house

Grays Harbor College will hold an open house for its ‘Get Fit’ personal professional fitness training program starting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 8.

Prospective participants will have an opportunity to explore the program, equipment, facilities and meet the instructors.

The open house is free of charge and no registration is required.

The ‘Get Fit’ program runs from April 8 through June 21.

Cost of the program is $89.50 for adults ($79.50 for 50-and-older).
