Grays Harbor College offers Get Fit program

Community members can workout with Chokers athletes this fall at Grays Harbor College’s Get Fit program.

The program runs Monday-Friday from Sept. 16 to Dec. 11 and costs $89.50 ($79.50 for participants 50 and older).

On Monday, September 16 from 9:30-11 a.m. prospective participants may explore the program, equipment and facility and will have an opproutnity to meet the instructors, Pam and Alan Aho. The open house is free of charge and does not require registration.

Class orientation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 9:30 a.m. and the public is invited to visit and participate.

Clubbers place second in Lacey

The Aro Glass Clubbers tied for second place in Lacey at the Rock@ the RAC tournament on Aug. 17-18.

The Clubbers lost out to Oregon Crabs, a Major division team, by the score of 16-15.

The Clubbers were led by Wayne Ross (.765. 3 HR, 12 RBI), John Delia (.550, HR, 7 RBI), Larry Lytle (.571) ,

Mike Hatley (.615) and Bob Paylor (.583).

The Clubbers will be competing in the World Tournament in Las Vegas , Nevada on Sept. 24-28.
