RAINIER —Quarterback Zack Lofgren rushed for touchdowns of 1, 3 and 65 yards as Rainier defeated visiting Raymond, 27-0, on Friday night.

“They’re obviously a very talented football team,” Raymond head coach Luke Abbott said of the Mountaineers (2-0). “Their quarterback and running back are very talented kids, but we gave them opportunities. We didn’t do our jobs on defense and that opened up holes for them and they made big plays. We need to become more aggressive on both sides of the ball. “

The Gulls (0-2) will host Friday Harbor next Saturday.
