WESTPORT — Noah Martin and Hayden Hoff led the attack as Ocosta avenged its only loss of the season by beating Life Christian on Saturday at the GAR Park.

Hoff and Martin each delivered three hits and drove in three runs apiece. Martin, who knocked in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning, also scored three runs.

Although it matched Pacific 2B League rivals, this contest was a non-leaguer arranged to provide extra games for both teams. Considering that Life Christian defeated Ocosta in a league meeting, Wildcat coach Mike Allton was very pleased with his team’s showing.

“We did a great job coming out strong and getting a good win against a quality team,” Allton said.

The Wildcats (11-1) face South Bend in a doubleheader Tuesday. Originally scheduled for South Bend, it was shifted to Westport due to superior field conditions.
