Montesano powerlifters take first in Snohomish

Five Monte lifters win respective weight classes

The Montesano Powerlifters took first place and had multiple individual winners at the Iron Club Powerlifting Meet in Snohomish on Saturday, March 5.

Led by first-place victories from Thomas Flink (132 pound weight class), Ethan Blundred (181 lbs.) and Rylee Chapman (242 lbs.), Montesano won the men’s team competition with 52 points.

Stanwood (36 points), White River (22 pts.) and Snohomish (17 pts.) placed 2-4, respectively.

In the girls competition, Montesano’s two competitors each took home first-place medals.

True Tyler (105 lbs.) and Emily Sweet (132 lbs.) each won their respective weight classes.

Montesano’s next competition in set for Saturday, March 26 at North Beach High School.
