PE ELL — Britney Patrick and Katelyn McGough contributed three extra-base hits apiece as reigning state 2B champion Pe Ell-Willapa Valley trounced Kalama in a Central League contest Monday at Pe Ell.

Patrick tripled twice and doubled, while McGough chipped in with two doubles and a triple for the Titans (4-0).

Up only 2-1 after three innings, PWV put it away by scoring five runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings.

“We were hitting a lot of balls hard (early), they were making plays,” PWV coach Ken Olson reported.

Olson was happy with his team’s errorless defense in wet conditions.

Weather permitting, the Titans are scheduled to visit Toutle Lake today in a makeup game.
