Aberdeen native Justin Cox was the victor at the Grays Harbor Men’s Amateur Tournament on Sunday with a gross score of 142 over the course of the two-day tournament at Grays Harbor Country Club.
Cox narrowly beat out second-place Scott Crouthamel, who finished two strokes behind with a score of 144.
Net winner Aberdeen’s Josh Witherbee took first place in that category with a score of 127 to beat out Tandy Alexander, who posted a score of 131.
In the 60-and-over senior division, Aberdeen’s Ed Klein was crowned the gross winner with a score of 148. Aberdeen resident Bruce Beck shot the lowest score of the senior net scores, posting a 128.
The winners in first two divisions were awarded $325 for their efforts, while the senior winners took home $250.
