The Hoquiam girls golf team defeated Aberdeen 199-222 in a Myrtle Street Rivalry matchup on Tuesday at the Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis.
The Grizzlies were led by Molly Gundersen, who earned Medalist of the Match honors with a 9-hole score of 45, followed closely by teammate Johana Sanchez-Ortiz with a 47.
Aberdeen was led by Presley Stone and Trinity Stone with identical scores of 54.

Aberdeen lost on Senior Night to Tumwater 97-76 on Wednesday at the Highland Golf Course.
Aberdeen’s lone senior, Harnoor Jandu, scored a personal-best 20 points to lead the Bobcats.
“That was really fun for her and our team,” Aberdeen head coach Macoy Gronseth said of Jandu’s performance. “We are continuing to play really well and in a good spot going into our postseason.”
Presley Stone and Kennedy Kolodzie scored 18 points each for Aberdeen (Stableford Scoring System).

Aberdeen lost by a mere point 71-70 to Centralia on Monday at the Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis.
Aberdeen’s Presley Stone scored 19 points to earn Medalist of the Match honors, one point better than Centralia’s Tess McMurry and Corin Meek, using the Stableford Scoring System.
“We lost by one point for the second straight match which is a little frustrating but it’s been fun to see the girls continue to get better and be competitive,” Aberdeen head coach Macoy Gronseth said.
