GHC golfer Cassell honored by NWAC

Wins “Golfer of Fall Season” award

Grays Harbor College men’s golfer Tyler Cassell was named Northwest Athletic Conference “Golfer of the Fall Season” after a successful sophomore season.

Cassell won three individual titles this season and finished with an average score of 71 shots per round.

Cassell deflected attention toward his teammates and coach when responding to the honor.

“I couldn’t be more happy to play with a great group of guys,” he said. “Thank you Coach Ann (Swanson) for all you do for us. Really appreciate it.”

“Tyler is a great team player and very generous and selfless in helping his teammates improve their skills,” Swanson said of her standout golfer. “Looking forward to a great spring season.”
