Evergreen All-League team packed with local talent

Two Elma Eagles, two Montesano Bulldogs and one Hoquiam Grizzly named First Team

The 1A Evergreen All-League Boys Basketball First Team was dominated by local talent as league officials announced the all-league team for the 2024-25 season.

Two Elma Eagles, two Montesano Bulldogs and one Hoquiam Grizzly were named to the league’s top team.

For Elma, junior forward Isaac McGaffey (15 points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, 2.4 steals per game, 2 blocks per game) and senior guard Traden Carter (13.9 ppg, 5 rpg, 2.7 apg) were named First Team.

Montesano sophomore forward Caden Grubb and junior forward Mason Fry earned First Team nods as did Hoquiam sophomore point guard Lincoln Niemi.

Earning Second Team honors was Hoquiam junior guard Joey Bozich, Elma senior guard Theo Flores and Montesano junior guard Terek Gunter.

Hoquiam sophomore guard Ryker Maxfield was named an Honorable Mention.
