Leading the way was Montesano senior midfielder Mateo Sanchez, who was named the league’s Most Valuable Player after scoring a team-high 43 points for the Bulldogs.

Sanchez scored 15 goals and led Monte with 13 assists to average 2.9 points per game in leading the Bulldogs to league and district titles this season.

Elma junior Cason Seaberg – last season’s league MVP – and Montesano senior Cole Ekerson were named the 1A Evergreen offensive and defensive players of the year, respectively.
