Montesano, Hoquiam and Raymond-South Bend competed in their first games back from Spring Break as we take a look at Twin Harbors boys prep soccer games from Monday.
BOYS PREP SOCCER
Montesano 13, Ilwaco 0
Montesano returned from Spring Break and showed no signs of rust in a 13-0 thrashing over Ilwaco on Monday in Ilwaco.
The Bulldogs (7-2 overall, 7-0 1A Evergreen League) scored three goals in the first 12 minutes of the game en route to a 9-0 lead by halftime.
Montesano sophomore midfielder Cris Tobar had a hat trick with three goals and added an assist for a Bulldogs offense that was efficient, scoring on 100% of its shots taken on goal.
Monte sophomore midfielder Jules Desjour, junior forward Nolan Swenson and junior forward Felix Romero added two goals apiece in the rout over the last-place Fishermen (0-8, 0-8).
The win combined with Elma’s 3-2 loss to Eatonville on Monday puts Montesano up two games over the Eagles and Cruisers for first place in the 1A Evergreen League.
Monte takes on Eatonville at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Eatonville.

Raymond-South Bend 7, Hoquiam 1
Raymond-South Bend opened its post-Spring Break schedule with a 7-1 win over Hoquiam on Monday in South Bend.
The Ravens scored five goals in the first half as Hoquiam (3-7, 3-5 1A Evergreen) struggled to find its game.
“With a few players out, we’ve been mentally checked out and tonight it showed,” Grizzlies head coach Corri Schmid said. “Wednesday we get one of our players back. Hopefully, that will help put us in a positive head space to where we play to our potential.”
RSB junior midfielder Edgar Ramirez had a hat trick by scoring three goals – all in the first half – as the Ravens held a 4-1 lead at halftime.
Ravens midfielder Christopher Quintana scored a pair of goals while Fabian Bucio and Jayden Silva had a goal each for RSB.
Hoquiam scored its lone goal of the game when sophomore midfielder Santiago Martinez Ortiz took a pass from sophomore defender Dylan Avila and beat the Ravens goal keeper 1-on-1 for a goal in the 33rd minute.
Raymond-South Bend takes on Elma at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Elma.
Hoquiam plays at Forks at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
