Aberdeen’s Green signs to play for Clark College

Conference Player of the Year Emma Green to play for perennial NWAC South champs

Standout Aberdeen midfielder Emma Green signed a Letter of Intent to play soccer for perennial Northwest Athletic Conference South Region champion Clark College next fall.

Green, a four-year starter for Aberdeen that possess excellent on-ball skills and a high IQ for the game, was named the 2A Evergreen Conference Player of the Year for the 2021 season and signed with the Penguins in early April.

“Emma is not only an outstanding technical player but a terrific teammate who has been the best player on her team for four years and still is one of the hardest workers,” Aberdeen head coach Larry Fleming told clarkpenguins.com last month. “That combination of talent and attitude has truly made her a pleasure to coach.”

In her time as the Bobcats field general, the three-year team captain was a two-time league MVP, two-time first team all-leaguer and a four-time scholar athlete.

Green plans to attend Clark for two years and then transfer to the University of Portland to pursue a degree in psychology.
