William “Bill” Cash Muir passed away on June 3, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Casper, Wyoming on June 4,1943, to Geraldine and Marion Muir. They moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa where he attended school and graduated in 1961. After graduation he traveled and worked odd jobs.
In 1966, following some family friends, he moved to the West Coast and settled in Bremerton, Washington. He went to work at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an apprentice shipfitter. He met and married Jeanne Currier in 1968 and had three children. He switched careers and went to work at the Trident Naval Academy as a quality insurance adjuster. He retired from there in 1994 and moved to Hoquiam, Washington.
He married Michele Gillies on June 2, 1995, and they just celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for 22 years at a local assisted nursing facility and retired in October 2021.
He is survived by his wife Michele of Hoquiam, son Kevin Muir and wife Renee of Puyallup, daughter Stacy (Muir) Bentley and husband George of Puyallup, daughter Heather (Muir) McCormick of Port Orchard, daughter Jen Gillies and wife Jade of Hoquiam, son Tyson Smith and wife Sam of Nampa, Idaho, his grandsons Leif Anderson, Zak Gillies-Anderson and Lincoln Smith; and nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Daisy Cummings, sister Laveda Ebner, and brother Jinx Fowler.
