Wendell Eugene Lloyd, a lifelong resident of Grays Harbor, passed away on March 3, 2020,

Wendell Eugene Lloyd, a lifelong resident of Grays Harbor, passed away on March 3, 2020, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle due to complications of diabetes. He was 60 years old.

Wendell was born Sept. 23, 1959, to Ernest Rex and Mildred May (Parker) Lloyd. He grew up on the East Wishkah Road in Aberdeen and attended McDermoth Grade School, Miller Jr. High and Weatherwax High School, where he was on the football and wrestling teams.

After leaving school, Wendell worked on and off many years in the timber industry with family. He also worked at times for DDR Shake Company , Friend and Rikalo, The Elks Club and The Parkway Tavern.

Wendell was a member of and volunteer at the Eagles Club and bowled in the Eagles League. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam digging and crabbing. He became disabled in 2013 due to health issues.

Wendell will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and spirit of generosity. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was taken from us too soon, but God has a plan for us all.

Wendell is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mildred Lloyd, his brothers; Ernie Lloyd, Harold Lloyd, Roy Lloyd, Randy Lloyd and Dan Lloyd; his sisters, Ellen (Lloyd) Storm and Laura (Lloyd) Robins.

Wendell is survived by his sister Judy of Aberdeen; brothers Andy and Larry of Aberdeen and Tim of Olympia; a son, Tommy Valentine of Aberdeen; a daughter, Jessica Morales of Aberdeen and seven grandchildren; Lealanah, Alyscia, Lucinda, Kenny, Emilio, Alizabyth and Noah.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Rosebud Funeral Home of Seattle.

A celebration of Wendell’s life will be held at a later date when it is safe for us to gather again.
