Walter David Wilson, who was born May 23, 1944 in Aberdeen, Washington, to parents Edgar and Barbara (Davis) Wilson, passed away April 11, 2023.
Walter grew up in Cosmopolis, Washington, and graduated from Weatherwax High School with the class of 1962, where he was voted “class flirt.”
Walter served in the Army National Guard from 1965 through 1971. Following in his father’s foot steps he worked as a longshoreman, retiring in 2004.
Walter was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed both playing and watching baseball, basketball and golf. Walter was also a sun worshiper. He vacationed every summer at Lake Chelan with family and friends.
Walter married Janet (Dunbar) Aug. 16, 1988 in Reno, Nevada.
Walter is survived by his wife Janet of Cosmopolis; daughters, Christine (Micah) Grneinger of Olympia and Carol (Kyle) Christelli of Satsop; grand-daughter Stefanie Christelli of Pasco; sister Barbara Rhoe of Seattle; and brothers John (Lynn) Wilson of Rochester and Scott Wilson of New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Skip Wilson.
