Virginia Lee (Garrison) Bullington of Montesano, passed away at her home Friday, Dec. 14, 2018. Jenny was born to Ed and Maxine (Womer) Garrison on Jan. 31, 1938, in Aberdeen, Wash.

Jenny grew up in the Wishkah Valley. She attended Wishkah schools and graduated in 1956 and was the valedictorian of her class. She married Robert Richardson in June of 1956, and together, they had two daughers, Barbara (Richardson) Mattson and Kim (Richardson) Adams. They later divorced, and Jenny married the love of her life, Phillip Bullington, and they had two children, Zane Bullington and Tracey (Bullington) Sundberg.

Jenny worked for a number of years at Safeway in Montesano. She, however, spent the majority of her working career (28 years) as a cook for the Montesano School District. Even after retiring from the school district, Jenny found she wasn’t quite ready for all that relaxing, so she worked a couple more years for Grays Harbor County as a cook at the county jail.

Everything about Jenny was centered around her family and nature. She enjoyed attending her grandkids’ sporting events and truly loved watching all of her great-grandkids play. She especially loved their snuggles and kisses. Jenny and Phillip shared a special bond in their love for the great outdoors – anything and everything about wildlife. Jenny loved birds, especially hummingbirds. She had several birdhouses all around her home. She and Phillip hunted, fished, traveled, and camped together during their entire marriage. Jenny was a longtime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Family traditions were very important to Jenny – especially centered around all of the holidays. She found much joy dabbling in her greenhouse and took great pride in her yard and beautiful flower gardens. Jenny was a voracious reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She loved jewelry and of course, she will always be remembered for her quirky well-known “Jennyisms.”

Jenny is survived by her children Barbara (Mike) Mattson, Kim (Mike) Adams, Zane (Lynda) Bullington, Tracey Sundberg, Bev (Joe) Miller, and bonus son, Rich Mazzei; her grandchildren Jenny (Chris) Pelt, Kadi (Shawn) Hinchen, Michael (Jaimi) Adams, Bryan (Brianna) Adams, Jace and Sydney Bullington, Zane (Amara) Sundberg, Allie (Lucas) Barr, Jimmy (Brandy) Miller, and Nic (Christa) Miller; and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brylee, Chase, Sloane, Brody, Rydar, Fynn, Hadyn, and Lincoln.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Phillip, and her brother, Kim Garrison.

At Jenny’s request, there will not be a service.
