Victoria Jean “Vicki” Dick, age 74, a lifetime resident of Hoquiam, died on Jan. 4, 2023, at her home in Hoquiam. Vicki was born on April 14, 1948, in Aberdeen, Washington to Melvin Kenneth and Bernadine (White) Mitchell. She was raised in Hoquiam and was a member of the Hoquiam High School, class of 1966.
On May 22, 1965, she and Al Dick were married in Hoquiam. The couple made their home in Hoquiam and had lived in three different locations within a 3-block radius. She had worked as a teller for the Bank of Grays Harbor for five years.
First and foremost, family was Vicki’s passion. There wasn’t a sporting activity that her children or grandchildren were a part of that she did not attend. Her home was second home to countless kids in the neighborhood. Christmas mornings always found the family gathered at Vicki’s home, For over 35 years, the family took what they named as the “Family Fall Ride,” where they traveled to locations in Southwest Washington, enjoying the sights, picnicking and stopping at the same places each year so new members of the family could enjoy what those before had always enjoyed. Vicki also loved to travel to Reno, New Orleans, Disneyland and Lake Chelan and was especially fond of taking cruises.
In addition to her husband Al, surviving relatives include daughters Stephanie Conway (Kevin) of Montesano and Amy Dick and Kim Fogo (Steve) of Hoquiam; a son, Joshua Dick (Lisa) of Hoquiam; sister, Patty Talley (Lance) of Centralia and a brother-in-law, Richard Kneipp of Lynden, Washington; grandchildren: Lauren Cheatle-Courtney (Jordan), Lynsey Entus (Donnie), Levi Dick, Gregory Dick, Sunshine Dick, Garrett Dick, Sophia Dick, Crosby Dick, Casen Dick, Zach Fogo and Taylor Fogo; and great-grandchildren: Layne Courtney, Liam Entus, Ainsley Entus, Paisley Dick, Fox Dick and Isidro Fogo.
