Timothy “River” Race Eastman, a 33-year-old Elma resident passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2023, at Tacoma General Hospital.
River was born on June 18, 1989, in Eureka California. Soon after the family moved to Washington state where he grew up in a large family with his grandparents and aunt raising him, and his siblings. His Papa was his role model — the one Tim looked up to and turned to the most! He was truly a Papa’s boy.
Tim left behind a wonderful girlfriend Caroline Taylor and their two fur babies Hobokin and Ardamis, his mother, Nancy Eastman; brothers: Justin Eastman and Casey Bircher; sisters: Sharmaine Bircher; and Keisha and Jennifer Eastman; grandparents, Donna and Charles Eastman; aunt, Sharmaine Eastman, and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
River is preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Eastman, who was in a tragic accident in 2004.
River was very free spirited. He lived his life the way he wanted. He loved playing guitar, spending most of his adult life traveling, riding the rails, meeting new people and discovering new places.
