Tim Anthony Stangeland passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Tim was born on July 16, 1938 to Martin and Helen Stangeland in Long Beach, California. He was raised in San Pedro and Menlo Park, California, and graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School. Tim also attended the San Jose State University class of 1971.

Tim enlisted in the Army on Sept. 10, 1962, where he was a Radio/Telegraph operator in Korea. He was discharged in 1964. He then went on to serve in the Army Reserves until 1968. Tim was an Industrial Arts Teacher and in 1972, Tim started working for Fremont Union High School, then worked at Santa Clara County Office of Education up until 2002 when he retired. Tim married his wife, Patricia Celorie, on Feb. 7, 1976 and they moved to the Montesano area in 2004.

Tim was in several antique auto, truck, tractor, stationary engine, scooter, and motorized bicycle groups and loved restoring the different models. He displayed Vintage Equipment at the Grays Harbor County Fair every year.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents Martin and Helen Stangeland. He is survived by his wife Patricia Stangeland of Montesano, Washington; son Charles Stangeland of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Shannon Alexander of Montesano, Washington; brothers Gary Stangeland of Auburn, California and Ross Stangeland of Grass Valley, California; sisters Lois Iles of Green Valley, Arizona and Nancy Cordy of Hollister, California; and two grandchildren Roman Alexander and Lorelei Stangeland.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to PAWS of Grays Harbor Animal Shelter.
