Theresa Rena Satter-Lesmeister

Theresa Rena Satter-Lesmeister of Ocean Shores passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia at the age of 74.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Michael F. Lesmeister, three siblings, immediate children, Elizabeth and Frederick Freeman Jr. and their spouses, her stepchildren, Christina Terry and husband, and Michael Lesmeister Jr. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

On Sept. 25, 1947, Theresa was born to Julius and Caroline E. Satter in Salem, Oregon. She was the third of four children: Vivian, Frank and Gilbert Satter. She lived her entire life in the Pacific Northwest.

Theresa had a career in law inspired by the highest justices of the Supreme Court who she held in high regard. During a hiatus from her legal career, Theresa was inspired to pursue a career in agricultural forestry, as a pioneering woman of the interstate trucking industry, where she was known to many as “Tough Tessie Trucker out of T-town.” Upon returning to the legal profession, she enjoyed the remainder of her career. In 2009 she realized her lifelong dream of retiring to her dream home that she had previously designed and built by the sea in Ocean Shores, Washington.

Theresa lived a fulfilling life and leaves a lasting legacy to her loved ones. She will be truly missed as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Theresa now joins her parents, as well as, Merle Haggard, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and the rest of her heavenly family for eternal rest.

In consideration of Covid-19 restrictions, a small memorial service will be planned and invitations will be sent to immediate family. Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
