Sherry was born on May 7, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Raymond and Esther (Hathaway) Boone. At the age of 5, Sherry and her family moved to Cosmopolis, Washington. She attended Cosi schools, and was proud to grow up in the small town. She graduated from J.M. Weatherwax High School in 1965. She later met Melvin Ramsdell, who was a childhood friend, growing up in the same neighborhood. They married on August 19, 1966, in Cosmopolis, Washington. She was a stay at home mother caring for her children, husband, home, and farm, helping with all chores, but taking a special interest in caring for the animals. She raised cattle, sheep, horses, chickens, and her favorite type of pup, border collies. Lilly is her current furbaby and best friend. Sherry continued to care for her family and home until Melvin passed away on March 5, 2016.
