Sharon Trueman, 85, of Montesano passed away at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, surrounded by family. Sharon was born Jan. 21, 1940, in Palo Alto, California to Earnest and Georgia McClure. She was raised in Concord, Calif. and married Thomas Joseph Trueman in 1959. They had also lived in Byron, Calif. before moving to Montesano in 1993.
Sharon had a passion and love for breeding quality AQHA halter horses. Some of her brood mares are found in the pedigrees of the all time greatest foundation stock.
Sharon served countless pets and owners through her work as a Pet Behaviorist at Brady Veterinarian for 20 years. She also showed dogs for the better part of her life, starting with Great Danes in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, followed by her entry into Giant Schnauzers, where she finished the championships of five dogs. She was a member of the Timberland Dog Club and the American Quarter Horse Assoc.
Sharon is survived by her loving children, Charles Trueman, Kerry (Gregory) Bash; grandson Chad Bash and two great-grandchildren Olivia and Blakely Bash and brother Jim Woolum of all of Montesano.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Tom and sister Linda Martin.
A celebration of life will be held later this year.
