Sandy Joan De LunaOct. 6, 1943 to Jan. 18, 2021

Sandy De Luna passed on Jan. 18, 2021.

Sandy De Luna passed on Jan. 18, 2021. She was 77 years old. She had been in declining health for the last year and died peacefully in her sleep.

She was the mother of Tricia and John De Luna, grandmother to Jamaica, Sierra and Nayelih De Luna.

She lived her life the way she wanted to. She got to travel and live in many places: Japan, Chico, Tahoe, Paradise, Reno, Taos, Whidby Island, a painting cruise to Hawaii.

She bought her first house in Pacific Beach, Washington. She finally settled in Ocean Shores, Washington where she bought her second house after a fire destroyed her first house.

She was a volunteer for PAWS and adopted many of the animals that others didn’t want. She loved cats, dogs and birds. Basically all animals were considered to be her friend. Her children grew up surrounded by dogs and cats their whole life.

She was an artist and left behind a legacy of paintings and arts and crafts. She was a member of many Ocean Shores art groups and continued to enjoy art classes and had her work displayed in many art shows. She even had her work published in a book about Ocean Shore artists.

She loved nature and always liked to be near water and mountains.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

May she rest in love and peace.

She will always be remembered as a lovely, gentle and kind woman.

Her celebration of life will take place at Harrison Beach in Port Angeles on July 10, at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy would have loved it if you could make a donation to www.paws.org or www.northbeachpaws.org
