Sandra Kay Lidtka passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her Aberdeen home.

Sandra Kay Lidtka passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her Aberdeen home. She was 70. Sandy was born in Bellingham, Wash., on Nov. 26, 1946, to Henry and Beatrice (Williams) Townsend. The family later moved to Grays Harbor and called Aberdeen home. On Feb. 13, 1965, Sandy married Gary Lee Lidtka in Aberdeen, Wash. She was employed with Aberdeen Hoquiam Transportation for 27 years retiring in 2008.

Sandy enjoyed being with her grandchildren and watching several shows with them. She also liked attending school bus rodeos, visiting the casino, bowling and staying active in Shop Stuart for Aberdeen/Hoquiam Transformation.

Sandy is survived by her mother Beatrice Townsend of Aberdeen; daughter Charmaigne (Curtis) Messer of Aberdeen; brothers Marvin (Linda), Arnie (Dee-dee), and Roy Townsend all of Aberdeen; sister Larlie (Clyde) Mudgett of Aberdeen; sister in-law Charmaigne Dunscomb of Port Angeles; grandchildren Curtis Wayne Messer Jr., Crystal Messer (Eaton), James Messer, CJ Messer (Miller), and Gary Messer all of Aberdeen. Along with God children Delight Mudgett (Donais) and Beatrice Gerber (Mudgett) of Aberdeen, Saundra Leslie (Mudgett) of Elma, and Clyde Mudgett of Malone; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Lee Lidtka; father Henry Townsend; siblings Butch, Richard and Shayne Townsend; and grandson Michael Wayne Messer.

A graveside service will take place at noon on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Wash. Following the service will be a Celebration of Sandy’s Life at Elma Alliance Church, 315 N 3rd St, Elma.
