Mom was born on May 23, 1937, to William D. Evans and Ruth LaFaive in Hoquiam, Washington. She suffered a massive heart attack on Sept. 9, 2021.

She worked as nurse’s aide at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, was a volunteer and the Wishkah Valley Fire Department’s secretary for 26 years. Also, mom drove school bus for the Wishkah Valley School.

Mom made delicious pies and desserts. She spent a lot of summers canning produce from the family garden. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzle books, bingo and going to the casinos where she was often the first one on a slot machine! Mom really enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In 1956, mom married dad. They were married for 65 years. She is survived by her husband, Victor; four children: Ralph (Michelle), Tom, Kathy (Jeff) and Racheal (Joe); sister Vera (Roscoe) and her brother Bill. The extended family includes five grandchildren: Ryan (Lauren), Megan (Jess), Cody (Amy), Katie (Matt) and Spencer (Emily); six great-grandchildren: Lilah, Jasper, Thea, Maisyn, Carson and River along with one more arriving in February; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. Evan and Ruth (LaFaive) Windsnes.

Mom requested that no service be held.

The family suggests that contributions be made to the Wishkah Fire Department, 4660 Wishkah Road, Aberdeen, WA 98520; or to PAWS of Grays Harbor, P.O. Box 451, Aberdeen, WA 98520.
