Russell Phillip Morrow, age 84, a resident of Aberdeen, died on May 5, 2020, at The Beehive Retirement Community in McCleary.

Russell Phillip Morrow, age 84, a resident of Aberdeen, died on May 5, 2020, at The Beehive Retirement Community in McCleary. Mr. Morrow was born on April 25, 1936, in Omak, Washington, to Jack and Mildred (Hankinson) Morrow. He was raised in Omak, Spokane and Montana.

During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

On Dec. 30, 1955, he and Kathryn Y. Plumb were married. The couple made their home in Pacific Beach and Carlisle prior moving to Aberdeen in 1970. Russell had worked for the Aloha Lumber Mill, Tommer Construction of Ocean Shores and Quigg Brothers. He was also an active volunteer at the Copalis Crossing Food Bank.

Mr. Morrow enjoyed traveling, having visited Alaska, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, Colorado, California and Nevada. In his younger years he had been an avid fisherman and hunter.

Surviving relatives include his twin sons, Larry Clay and Gary Lee Morrow, grandchildren, Nicole Lebron, Russell Forest Morrow, McKenzie Morrow, Danielle Martin, Shelly O’Dell, Thornton Smith, and Chris Collett; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother Lonny Morrow of Pacific Beach; two sisters, Patti Mullin of Aberdeen and Shari Mullin of East Hoquiam. He is also survived by his close friend, Mike Lano.

At his request, there will be no service.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 5th Street in Hoquiam, Washington.
