On June 26, 2017, Ruby Rae Bennett passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

On June 26, 2017, Ruby Rae Bennett passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Aberdeen, Wash.

Ruby worked for several years at Ocean Spray Cranberry and also worked for many years at Pinkerton Security.

Ruby was known for her great sense of humor and quick wit. She had the ability to bring joy to everyone’s life she touched and always made the people around her feel like family. Ruby left a lasting mark on every person she met with her generosity and kindness.

Ruby enjoyed the beach, camping, clam digging, making people laugh and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Ruby is survived by her four children, Robert King Sr., Tamara King, Kimberly Arias and Joyce Clark, all of Aberdeen, Wash.; also eight grandchildren, Adam Barajas, Robert King Jr., Michael Barajas, Nicole Raver (King), Scott Barajas, Ben King, Kieley King and Kallie King; five great-grandchildren, Luke, Oliver, Bobby III, Jasmine and Paisley; and her ex-spouse and best friend, Michael L. Bennett. She is preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Welty, her father, Robert Vernon King, step-father Rusty Welty and two brothers.

A celebration of life for Ruby will be held at the family home on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m.
