Robert Leroy Landstrom, 84, and longtime Aberdeen resident, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Robert Leroy Landstrom, 84, and longtime Aberdeen resident, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen, Washington.

Robert was born on Aug. 18, 1937, in Hoquiam, Washington to parents Esse Landstrom and Marie Onger. Robert was raised in Hoquiam, graduating from Hoquiam High School in 1955.

After graduation, he joined the Navy and served for three years on active duty before becoming a reservist.

In 1956, Robert married the love of his life, Janet Strom. They moved to Aberdeen and built their life together. Robert and Janet had two beautiful children, daughter Roechelle Ann Landstrom and son Dale Edward Landstrom.

Robert became an apprentice electrician with Star Electric. After completing his apprenticeship, Robert bought and operated his own business, Kay Electric, for many years until he eventually retired.

Robert was a member of the Aberdeen Eagles for over 50 years, where he held a few positions to include president. After the closing of the Aberdeen Eagles, he transferred to Olympia Eagles where he became the trustee.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He always enjoyed working on his own carpentry projects.

Robert is survived by his wife Janet Landstrom, daughter Roechelle Landstrom of Aberdeen, Washington and cousin Barbara Landstrom, of Olympia, Washington.

Robert is preceded in death by his father Esse Landstrom, his mother Marie Landstrom and son Dale Edward Landstrom.

A service will be held this summer, more information to follow in a service announcement in the coming weeks.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
