Robert Leonard “Bob” Brock, 72, Aberdeen resident and local area truck driver, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington.
Robert was born on June 14, 1952, in Tacoma, Washington to James William and Corinne Madeline (Reinhardt) Brock. He moved to Elma as a teenager and joined the United States Army in 1970 at the age of 18. He was trained as an aircraft Mechanic and 621 stationed in Vietnam. He was Honorably Discharged in 1974.
He returned to Grays Harbor where he drove truck for various trucking companies. In 1999, he started his own company, Brock and Son Trucking in Elma. It ended a couple of years later. He taught Automotive Mechanics in Oregon for a while.
On April 6, 1984, Bob married Donna Louise Parnham. She resides at the family home.
Bob enjoyed riding his Harley and working on cars. He loved to go camping and sturgeon fishing. He was great at telling stories. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids.
Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Brock of Aberdeen; a son, Robert Brock of Aberdeen; two daughters: Heather (Robert) Keesler of Olympia and Brenda (Jeremy) Logudice of Billings, Montana; a sister, Sherry Brock of Gilford, Montana; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father James Brock, mother Corrine Brock, and sister, Evelyn Jean Moon.
There will be a time of visitation and viewing on Monday, Jan. 20, at Fern Hill Funeral Home from 1 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. in Fern Hill’s chapel in Aberdeen. Burial with military honors will take place at Satsop Cemetery at 1 p.m..
